Post Speed density?

How many mods can you get away with using the speed density on a '94 with a 5.0? Thinking about a crate motor TFS heads & a X303

You're probably pushing the envelope too far with speed density. See my post on this at https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000096.html

I have heard that an increase of 10% will not affect the speed density PCM. The mods that you listed will probably go beyond that.

I always wanted to run a larger lobe cam in my F-150, but was told by several mechanics that SD won't allow it. And a 600 switch to MA isn't worth it. I can get a new intake and carb and switch from EFi cheaper.

Yup, that X303 will kill you if you remain with Speed Density. Anything that radically changes vacuum(X-303 for example) at idle or at cruise will result in bad drivablity and possible lean conditions. Minor cam changes are no problem, talk to a reputable cam grinder(Crane,Comp Cams) and they can grind you a SD friendly cam. Usually heads are not a problem and superchargers aren't a problem, pretty much just cams.
