Ahh... No big deal. Us "old farts" age like fine wine and are worth a lot more than Matt's cheap whine.
Hmm I don't think he hit wine yet; maybe grape juice Here's one for the kid, if you are the wrench you say, what parts do you need to give a .140 inch stroke to a 351W and make 475hp for an oval track. I want power band rpm, cubic inches, carb size and type, intake type, cam specs, header specs, piston type and compression ratio, rod specs, head type and valve specs.

Matt, all I know is that those who know don't have to struggle/brag/be a ***** in an attempt to get respect. Respect is earned and you have definitely not earned any at all. You may be 27, but your maturity doesn't show it..... JMHO

Who woulda guessed that truck drivers would know so much about racing cars? I'm no longer amazed at the scope and depth of knowledge of the people here. There are some brilliant people in this online community.

Well put Dennis. There is a host of knowledge here on the site. Some will fall in front of you, and some you have to look a little harder for.

Matt,

What's eating you? It was a simple question, and yes, a question worth answering. 6 second 0-60 times actually impress you? Oh, that's right it's a Mustang. Those of us who have built bikes have no need for something so slow. Hell, if it's not in the mid to high 2's you can't even call it acceleration.

Thumbs up

02XLT...thanks, you elicited answers to a question that I would have asked. I have never had a truck before, but all my cars and bikes have been drivers vehicles. I dont want to be first in the line at a stoplight, and then be behind six other cars at the other side, and when I see a (safe) gap I want, I do not want anybody to stop me making it, simply because they can. Most of my daily journeys last two/three hours, and I do 35/40.000 miles every year, so I like a vehicle that gets on with it. I could have bought a standard UK spec' Ranger or Mitsubishi and saved some money, bit a 2.5 diesel in a thing that size would have driven me crazy. As for the times stated, I have to say that I don't believe the 8/9 second posts. 11/12 sounds more like it for a vehicle with this torque, weight and gearing, but if I can shave some time off with after market parts etc, then I will. The ship carrying my truck docks in Liverpool on the 23rd, but I won't see it until November as it has to go through the type approval procedures. If I am wrong about the times, I will apologise to those I may have offended.

Matt---I must confess that your last few posts, you sound a little more relaxed and cool...

You misunderstood me when I said I built my own house--not purchased like you...I built my 69 mustang(and kept it)--And you can apply technology to the older cars as well(like I have)..I applied new technology to my house...Solid 8" styroform...

You are young(and unwise) to come off like this on these forums.

Why I dont understand, is why are u on these forums if you already know everything there is to know?????

I am sure you bolted together a few parts in your young life--but who hasn't???

I have two sons and a daughter in-law...does this make me three times as bright as you????

There is one thing I always do--let people express themselves and listen to what they say and if there is something I can learn, then I will learn from other people...

As far as the people not knowing how to use the net, does that make them dumb???

I believe that this is what this board is all about!!!!!Passing on knowledge to others, some being newbies...But we(the more experienced ones) should practice restrenght and be nice and understanding to others...

I know you are young and dont understand alot of this philosify and life,,but some day I hope you will understand and be blessed with this knowledge...

You can catch more bees with honey then with pepper....

stupid is stupid does

IT is not maturity. It is peoples laziness. this is not rocket science here finding info online. Use your head, brains or what ever is between your ears to find your own answers sometime. There is a search feature also that is never used enough. I see a LOT of the same questions asked 10x over and over. Especially true with wheels and tires and exhaust

"can I fit 33s with no lift?"

"which exhaust is the best?"

"which exhaust is the loudest?"

Nothing like beating a dead horse. Sounds familar hey??!!!! We all have opinions, but use your head and some of the features given to you on the board.

This thread has not died yet? I have been reading but never reply anymore.

In my defense I did do a search on this board for the answer to my question and did not fined one for my configuration. Maybe I did the search wrong or I may have over looked it.

In the end. I have no hard feeling towards anyone on this board. I don't really have the time or desire to let it bother me. I thank everyone that has posted for there comments and help. I hope we all meet again in many more posts with positive feed back.

PS: Not that it matters I am 23 and a network administrator. Highly underpaid, just like everyone else I am sure!

If it is something you have already answered and are annoyed that it is being answered again, ignore it, don't read it and move on.......

Truthfully, the Search on this site is somewhat confusing until you know how it works. I believe my BS in Computer Science from a Big Ten school, 15 years of programming, product development, networks, and ebusiness technical marketing at IBM should qualify me as being computer literate.

DaveMan gave me a gentle shove in the right direction and I figured it out...

What you have and what you have done don't mean anything... what's important is what you are.... Think about it.
