I just added a Vortech aftercooler to my Mustangfor the first time and went to Epping.... previous best was 10.37... this time It went 10.001@134. I will get to the nines I swear I will! Maybe I need a AUTO! Just wanted to share with all of you who care... after all it is a FORD small block.

 

Nice, i'd hate to run into you at a stoplight! I bet on a cold humid morning you could break into the nines.

you don't need an auto, it'll chew up more hp than a standard ,there fore making it harder to get into the 9s.
Those are great times btw-My sister used to have a "stock" 89 GT with thee 5.0 and I thought that was quick, I could only imagine what driving yours would be like

 

Well actually mine is very streetable- it is a real beast until you lay into the throttle. Then it is a whole different world. reason I thought an Auto might be better is that I cant shift lke I used to I hit 7200 and Speed shift It drops down to @ 5000. I figure with an auto it might be alot quicker.

 

Yes, an auto should make you faster. My friend went from an 11.1 to a 10.5 from switching from a Tremec to a manual C-4 with transbrake.

 

i agree with blown2run, i think an auto with a good torque converter and trans brake will get you into the 9's with good weather. ill trade you the mustang for my truck, whatcha say? nice times!!!

 

Very nice time for that Mustang now if you could get your truck to go that fast you would have it made.
