no just the codes I listed. It has a miss when running around 35-40. I’ve changed out 4 of the plugs so far. Changing out the other 4 this week. The old plugs had a big gap compared to the new double platinum plugs I’m putting in. I also have the brown boots.

The codes you posted are non-nonsensical. Please clarify what the full and complete codes are so we do not have to guess or try and fill in the blanks.

P0430 and P0430 P

The code reader I use is a basic one. All it says is the following 2 codes:
P0430 and P0430 P

That's low catalyst efficiency bank 2 (driver's side) both a pending and a hard code. Change the rest of the plugs, clear the codes, and see if they come back.

If you have driven it much with a miss, that can trash the cats. Low efficiency isn't necessarily harmful unless they are getting plugged, but you won't pass an emission test without fixing it.

P0430 and P430 P

Changed the other 4 plugs on the drivers side and the codes went away. Truck runs better and has more more power. No more missing.

Is it one of the COP or is it really the 02 sensor and Cat?

Well, it probably started out as just a misfire but now the cat is toast. May have left the original problem unrepaired for too long thus ruining the converter.

Do you know the correct catalytic converters I should get. I just did a google search and there are a bunch out there. Some as low as $36.

Not sure which one to get that will not throw codes.

Are you in California?

Do you have to get emissions testing done as a condition of registration or plate renewal?

Then feel free to either ignore the error or, otherwise, install anti-foulers to fool the system into thinking the cat is working and to keep the MIL off.

The problem with loss of power. I haven’t had the truck very long. My other truck has a 6 cylinder in it and seems to have more power. I’m thinking that cats are the reason for lack of power or my thinking of going from a 6 to an 8 cylinder is overly exaggerated.

Do do you know what cats will work? Will any that fits the truck work?
