Exclamation scooley

hi all I have a 2006 f150 -fx4 with a 5.4l. My problem started 3 days ago, the wrench light and engine light came on. After making it to auto-zone to get code read it came out to be a p2106. I purchased a new throttle body from ford and installed. I was also getting a p061B code from my programmer. (sct) After numerous trips to ford mechanic and others in my area, and replacing the MAF(mass Air Flow sensor) the engine is still tripping the wrench light. The outcome thus far is the problem isn't repaired, and the ford mechanic doesn't know what is causing the P062B code to continue to appear. Can anyone help me with this problem. please email me at sallyandshane2008@yahoo.com if you can help e with my problems or need ore details. your friend scooley

Scooley, I moved your thread into the V8 engine section. You might get a better response here. Welcome to our forum!

I did a quick search on the P061B code, and it seems to be a problem in the PCM related to torque calculation. Have you installed a programmer that changes the tune in the PCM? This seems to be a common cause.

If not, perhaps the dealership might flash your PCM to the latest calibration if that has not already been done.

Others may have much better advice. Keep checking back.

hi all the latest on the p061b code for my 2006 f150-fx4 5.4l. I took the truck to a different ford dealer to a well known mech. he found the wiring harness had spot that the wires were exposed, so I am replacing the harness. in my finding there are numerous parts this code affects from the crankshaft sensor, camphasers, abs, maf, throttlebody are some that I found this code reflects back to.
