so the 03 5.4 2v is in!!!!! i have fuel pressure and good power. it did crank and wanted to go but now i get nothing. going to try to jump solenoid. anybody got any ideas, what should i check first??????

i am also getting codes for throttle positioning sensor???

is this a heritage truck? 2v 5.4-2v 5.4? or something else?

 

Its a new body 04/05 f150 which had the 4.6 2v now running a 03/04 5.4 2v 'heritage' style motor. using the 04 4.6 throttle body w/ adapter plates.everything swapped except flexplate, all sensors are from the 4.6, as well as the pcm.

im leaking coolant from the intake manifold. its double trouble with the intake adapters fyi. ill try to torque down again and see what happens.

 

1000 is just that it hasnt ran long enough. EGR p0401 or close? probably check the DPFE hoses make sure you have them on tight and right.

 

had starter tested, cleaned terminals, then reinstalled.
starts right up!!!!

now i have 10 dtc s.
p0102 mass air
p0135 oxy sensor
po155 oxy sensor
po403 egr recir
p0443 evap emission ctrl
po446 evap emission ctrl
po553 p/s high input-unpluged must fix connector plug
po660 intake manifold tuning valve
p1000 monitor checks
p2106 throttle actuator ctrl system-LIMITED POWER

i read somewhere that it might be fuse 43.*edit fuse 32
none of these were on before engine swap.
maybe i fried an o2 sensor?, i installed 2 new front ones
im gonna check all fuses

Did you use the 4.6 intake or the doner engines? might be you just have to go back and re check the routing of vacuum lines make sure connection are tight and all that. looks to me like your pretty close. Electronic throttle body or cable? 04 was electronic so that could be an issue..

 

i have a custom made ram air intake setup. it goes straight from throttle body to a pvc coupling with vac line atachment to the mass air flow sensor housing to an open k&n. i did this b/c the p/s res didnt bolt right up so i mounted it where intake was. plus it looks mean and should flow way better, maybe to much better.

could be a vac line, so many things use vac. i would think it would throw a different code but idk. ill try checking that. good call. thanks for the quick reply.

yeah the +04 have the electronic fly-by-wire deal. i dont know how that would effect it. i wish i cleaned the tb while it was off, i heard that is common for throwing it into limp mode. how tight everything is i have to take off intake manifold to remove throttle body.

i cant wait to see what this babys got.

at least i got the coolant leak taken care of with a little retorque'in
