Spark Plug HELP!!

Spark Plug HELP!!

ok.. so i'm changing the spark plugs (again)
do to super charger install..

all but one came right out with out any trouble

the on is is stuck bad,, the hex is striped but still tight and
i can not get it out..

what do you think i should do from here

i had two thoughts..

i finish install and just start truck untill its warm, then try to remove the
plug..

or

use some tool and break up the porclin then maybe use a needle nose plyers
to remove the hex (or use the lisie tool)

any help

its soaking in bP blaster as we speak! (please help)

I think your at the use the spark plug extraction tool

Although I am a fan of PB Blaster, I used a product called ChemSearch “Yield”. The issue I have with using carb cleaner is the lack of lubrication…..in the old days of removing steel plugs from aluminum heads, we use to mix up acetone & ATF…or of we needed more lubrication, kerosene & ATF, “Yield” provides this lubrication- much better IMHO than even PB Blaster

What's a Flowmaster race series ? Is it a straight thru design ? Just curious since your adding a whipple. Running a chambered design might hurt your numbers a bit.

Yea, I don't think I'd mess w/the 3v without the Lisle handy lol.

I've never heard of the hex nut rounding off on one of these. Take a thin screwdriver and make sure there is no debri keeping the socket off the plug.

the flow master race is a single chamber muffler 12" ovl

i knew i was in trouble when i pulled the coil boot and it had a white paste like suff on it...

cleand it out (i bleive) and soaked it in pb Blaster

going to try again tomorrow after work

keep soaking it with more and more bp blaster

ok.. i'm screwed...

plug broke off in the head...

all the threads are still in the head...

guess i have to pray and try to drill out the plug..

anyone want to help? i'd pay..

????

You need the extraction tool. You will most likely damage the heads if you attempt it without it.

that tool will do me no good with the spark plug STILL threaded into the head!

Stuck Plug

I've not heard of the hex rounding off on a plug except when it's tight and someone used a 12 point socket or wrench on them (in old days). If there's a chance you did this, do you have a 6 point socket you can try?

I've seen reference to these, but I don't have any so I've not tried them: http://www.bt-andf.com/
