Rough Idle hesitant acceleration. Check Engine Light Flashes

I have a 2002 F-150 Lariat. with 100k on it . I was driving to work today. Everything was just fine then i stopped at a stop light and it started to idle funny. I began to accelerate and it was so Hesitant to get up to speed when i got to about 40 mph it ran ok but check engine light kept flashing at me. So i turned my truck around and went home. This truck Usually sits in my garage every night but i left it in my driveway and last night we got a TON of rain about 4in in one night. Did something get wet that shouldnt? What can i do to fix this a nice cheap easy way??? Any ideas????

Missfire probably. Get your codes post them here.. one of them will probably be P035x or po30x that will tell you where to start. You likely need a tune up plugs maybe a set of coils..

My '95 5.0 does that too but its when I run it to a normal temp and then turn it off to do something (fill my tank or something like that) and then when I start it up again it idles REALLY rough and won't accelerate smoothly. I do know that i have a small vacuum leak but would that affect that.

different deal efferent engine entirely. The gasket between the plenum and intake manifold fails on those EFI engines. I'd check it. Might be a vacuum leak.
