Updated 2005 5.4 Fuel Injectors

I am wanting to put in the Updated fuel injectors to avoid the sticking open of the olds ones. I was just wondering if anyone had the part number i require for the updated ones or how i would reconize the updated ones as opposed to the buggy ones that are apperently in the truck now. Thank you in advance.

Bump. I'm curious if there's any way to tell a difference visually, too.

I think you may be confusing injectors with the COP boots. The way you tell if a 5.4 3v made in 2008 has the new heads is that they have brown COP boots where the ones with the 2 piece spark plugs have black boots.

Since it only happened with the 05s, and they have been using injectors in all the engines since then, I would imagine they have been long gone.

If you have one start leaking, you should notice it getting hard to start, acting like it's flooded. Then do the leak test.
