Sounds like it might have spun the aluminum threads out with it? Hope not Cant think of any other reason it would freely spin and not come out. Either way.. Not quite sure what to do. Might have to rig your plug socket to hang onto it real good, apply a little upward pull while your spinning it.

Are you positive that there is nothing in the hole keeping the socket from completely engaging the plug making it feel like its just spinning? If not then more than likely the threads are stripped now. Might try cranking it over and blow the plug completely out. Then get a timesert to replace the threads.

Don't rent it till you DO get the plug out and see exactly what's going on.

you really should see exactly what's going on before renting the kit. did you scrape around the plug holes then run in there with compressed air first? might be some dirt not allowing you to get a full seat on the plug.

if you do need the kit, galaxy will hook you up.

Don't crank the ENGINE!! If the threads are stripped you may have shavings in the cylinder. This will make it worse in the long run!

Just my opinion but I think the risk is small that the possible minute aluminum shavings will create a problem. Just not sure what other option he has to remove the stripped plug short of pulling the head. The risk of screwing things up pulling a cyl head are far greater.

Try to fab something up with plug socket that grabs the top of the plug, that way you can pull while your turning.
