I agree that's an awsome engine hoist... I have one like that

can't wait to see the "new" 5.4 going in the "sleeper beast", it may be faster than your truck when you get back on the road

this thing will romp on my truck...

A few years ago a guy put a 5.4 in a 97 town car with exhaust and a tune and ran 13.9's in the 1/4 mile.

I'm driving one those currently - Same color lol. - I feel like an old man in that thing

Nice rider though- an 04. Guess their going to stop making them, well not totally - Fleet only vehicle.

I like the engine hoist as well! The old engine would make a nice counter weight for stump pullin

well motor is in. The lower intake is in along with the injectors and fuel rails. I had a setup that I thought was going to be able to work and keep the wiper motor but it failed. I got pissed off at it and not wanting to spend too much money on it I pulled the wiper motor out and took the angle grinder to the housing. It doesn't look too bad. The top of the lower intake is pretty much touching the hood right now.

I've run into a small but annoying problem

The fuel lines where they connect to the fuel rail do not reach any more. What is the best way to solve this problem

the easiest way would be to run a FMU from someones supercharger setup that went with fuel mods...

if I was in Texas I'd send you my old FMU

remember the engine will "rise up" and torque over under WOT, so keep that in mind when you are checking clearances

I think I am just gonna cut of the rubber line and get some new high pressure fuel line to run it from the metal lines up to the fuel rail.

I'm gonna have to knock a nice big hole in the hood. The elbow is gonna stick up about 4 or 5 inches about the top of the hood.

It's raining pretty good today and its not looking like its gonna let off. If its not raining tomorrow I am gonna see how far I can get tomorrow. I NEED to get it done before the weekend is over because I will likely be taking off for work for a few weeks and wont have the energy to do it on my days off. If I can get it all together except the exhaust I will be thrilled.

I'm only $328 into it so far and all I KNOW I need still is a fuel pressure regulator which I can get for $10

I just wish I could send you the FMU so we'd know for sure it work (and if you don't hook up a vac line it would never close

man when you get'er runnin, you need to drive it down the road with no hood and open manifolds/headers or cut the exhaust to the point where you can use the o2's thats what me and my buddy did when we put the 429cj in his 77 f250
