For the mechanic to say that you had two plugs burnt up tells me everything. Mostly , the truck has gone thru hell from it's owner. Don't lie to me kid. Your type is very transparent and here I was trying to help you out.

That's okay, I'm a fast learner your just burning bridges as you go. You'll smoke one that matters to you at some point in time, then you'll realize your entire life has been garbage.

Mannn, - It sure would SUCK to have your attitude.

BTW - How in the hell can you go from a 30 to an 85 so quickly? Yea, just more trash

Just wait till you move out on your own and get out into the real world, maybe then you'll realize you haven't made it very far at all You keep saying you "own a business", but you don't and you don't seem to understand that. Do you pay taxes on the money your "business" brings in? No, I'm sure you don't. How many employees do you have? You have a hobby. If the quote below is true, then your hobby doesn't even bring in enough money to put gas in your truck. (yet another example of your poor financial decisions, to buy something you can't even afford to keep fueled)

So how'd you pay $1k for repairs?

Now, just for the sake of discussion, let's take a look at your client base.

Fine, you want us to know that your customers have lots of money and treat their vehicles like crap. It would stand to reason that they probably don't really care about the quality of the detail, which is why they hire some high school kid for cheap. A real detail would start anywhere from $250-$300 and I don't believe that you're spending 12 to 15 hours on a vehicle.

Don't act like we're stupid. No high school exam is worth 55% of your grade, and I'm sure you didn't ace the make up exam anyways.

I thought you said you missed a day? It's apparent you only tell partial truths, and only to make yourself look better. Yup, very mature.

So what college are you going to in the fall?

19 years old and still in high school? Aren't most people 17 or 18 when they graduate?

I'm loving this thread.

I wouldn't go wishing for NCSU to "LOOSE" his job. He might take to detailing cars and steal some of your customers.

I'm sure having an ENGINEERING DEGREE limits your possibilities

I know I was raised to be a Christian by my sainted mother and she even understands I'm not a very good one. I do know this however that it's not very Christian to wish anyone loose their job or livelyhood nor ill will espescially this day and age. Buddy you need to understand that there are words of life's experience and wisdom that are spoken all around you not just here on this forum but around you every day. I remember an expresion used from my elders being short on ears and long on mouth. Try learning from others life experiences buy listening with mouth closed. Eyes open mouth shut. Even at my age I still learn something new every day. I guess that's what makes life enjoyable how you embrace new discoveries.

Me too!

I'm not too concerned about losing my job right now, I work in rail (which just got 8 billion in the stimulus bill) and am one of the 5% in my company who can participate in underwater inspection (and became a supervisor, less than 1% of our employees, at age 27). cadkins09 can keep his cheapass customers

im going to UTI (Universal Technical Institue)

you can miss no more than 3 days, ive missed 2, im saving one just incase..

yes im 19, most are 18 when they graduate, i was held back in kndergarden. and my parents chose to, i didnt fail

i do maintain my truck, i just need new rotors like i said earlier, i dont have the $ for it.

do you want me to do a video on my work to prove i do a better job than the car washes around my area?

my parents paid for the repairs because they love me and want the best for me and not for me to die cause my ball joint broke while i was driving, but im paying them back at the end of the month.

Definitions for Business and hobby

Business- A persons regular occupation, porfession or trade

Hobby- A activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure

i dont do that for pleasure, its alot of work when your customer has 4 kids i dont enjoy that, i do it because i dont want to be that fool playing xbox all day. the whole reason why i started washing and detailing cars is because at the time i could never find a job at the time and yes my prices are cheaper so i can have more business. they range from $12-$80. i have about 50-60 customers.

It was a joke. He's got an engineering degree from NC State (Hence NCSU). I think detailing cars is VERY far from the top of his list if his current job goes BYE-Bye. The reason he's giving you a hard time is because your first post was about how much it sucked you had to pay $1000. Yes he started it because you sounded like you were whining, I know, but as other things came out and the more you proved "the hole in your marble bag", the more people quit feeling sorry for your rant and they quit trying to help you. (Did you notice the multiple suggestions on how to do some of the work yourself?) Remember, we've all been in your shoes, and probably still are. Saving to do one thing but have to spend it on another. That's life. Wait till you actually COMPREHEND the amount of taxes you pay. (Income, sales, property, capital gains, fuel, etc. etc.) I'd say 30% of my pay goes to income taxes plus another 10-15% for the other taxes. THAT's 1/2 WHAT I MAKE!!!

the edge evolution will wear out your muffler bearings quicker due to more exhaust flow, so it would be good to replace those at the same time you install the edge. its like $20 so no big deal and takes about 5 minutes to do.
