A little update....

Finally got around to re-doing my entire fuel system. I started out with 2 new 340LPH Aeromotive pumps, plumbed 2 -6AN fuel lines all the way out of the hat to a Summit "Y" fitting which feeds the biggest Aermotive filter they have. Then a single -8AN line all the way to the fuel rail. Brand new dual 10 gauge wiring to each pump all the way to the boost a pump.

With the previous set up in the pics in the above posts, I had about 50 psi at idle, then dropped to about 40 psi at wide open throttle.

I think this finally fixed my problem. I now have about 78psi at idle, still haven't gone wide open yet. I'm off 2 weeks for Christmas so I hope to be able to start some engine assembly now that I have PLENTY of fuel. I know I need an adjustable regulator, it's sitting in the closet to go on with the new fuel rails. They just won't fit this intake, they are for the Hardballer intake(mustang rails).

I never could figure out what was causing the problem. Trouble shot it for a long time but couldn't figure out what the issue was, just never could get the fuel pressure at WOT I thought was necessary.

Been thinking about it a lot......
It may be a possibility as a second tune or race tune. E85 is showing up in a few spots around here now so I know where to get some.

Just for your reference,
my truck runs at WOT never going much or over 40psi! That's plenty of fuel
I was making about 530 RWHP with one 255 pump and a bost-a-pump.
I run two 255lph pumps now.

That's pretty much what mine was doing, I just knew it should be spiking to 50-60 with the 1:1 ratio of boost and the fuel pressure regulator. I wasn't comfortable with it.

Ive been running my truck like that for 5 or more years and have total confidence in my tuner that it has plenty of fuel.

Just a picture to show the progress. Still need a few bolts to install the timing guides and tensioners. I want to use brand new bolts and not risk any broken timing components.

Same one that I have on the truck now(Vortech Si), but I do have a custom crank pulley waiting to go on it that will hopefully put me in the 20 psi range.

Burns, I had forgotten all about that picture, thanks for reminding me. It's actually kinda funny thinking it started out looking that way.

I just hope it stays together! I'm gona be sick if something happens to this combo. I'm starting to get impatient, I'm ready to get it in the truck and get it tuned! I have no idea what kinda #'s to expect out of it. I have a set of bolts on the way to button up the timing gear and can hopefullly get this thing almost completed.
