more power for 98 F-150 4x4!!!

Ive looked and looked on here and cant find the exact answers I need, so here goes. I have a 98 F-150 w/4.6 4X4, 9" of lift 4.56 gears, eaton lockers, tranny built to max(only housing is whats stock, everything inside is HD to the maxx). I want more power and rather than building a 4.6 I was lookin at gettin a crate 5.4 lightning motor, Im not lookin for 400hp and stuff I just want a nice 340hp or so nothin outragous. Its still my daily driver so I want it to be a practical truck still, but I want more power done right. What exactly would I be looking at changing with doing the lightning motor, and how would my tranny coup with this mid 300's hp? Thanks a bunch guys

wondering how your tranny would deal with 300 horses. first we need to know whats done to it. you dont have a power rating that came with the rebuild?

and yea...do what was said before and youll find your answer.

300hp is nothing for the tranny. id get a shift kit just to be sure. My stock tranny with a stall and shift kit held up to 145k miles. And I dont run my truck easy.

it has a stage II shift kit in it, Im not really worried about the tranny so much that I need to know what Im all gonna have to change when I do this crate motor swap. What do you mean what was said earlier? The tranny has all kinds of kolene steels some kind of thing was changed to drum, shift kit, huges torque converter(factory stall what ever that may be) and somethings are kevlar, I think it says INT clutches. I had it done last summer and it has about 10K miles on the rebuild. Can you guys make heads or tails out of any of that?

fuel pump, you'll need a custom tune for it, exhaust manifolds(or long tube headers) and have a shop do your exhaust system. thats all i can think of off the top of my head.
