I used the intake manifold bolts to pull out the 4sixxx and mock drop in the 5.4. When I took the chains off, all bolts were bent to all hell. I could of swore I posted pictures of where to mount bolts. . .

take a tap and run it through these two bellhousing holes. all the way. THEN take two bellhousing bolts, run them in the holes the opposite way you would say you were bolting up trans...

than, take another tap, and run it down these holes. and you have two more bolt holes to mount chain. . . I used all four holes to drop mine in place. .

and I still havent finished yet. been sidetracked with sidejobs to make money. and its cold out. . real cold

uh no dude. I had a 79 ford ltd landue, i did the timing chains and there was no camshaft position sensor on a 79 351 windsor, so i am not familiar with timing on new vehicles, and i still havent gotten an awnser, or i cannot seem to pull out an answer from that responce, all i need is a yes or no really, or what do i do, just leave it and it times itself?...

thanks camarothatcould, that is a pretty damn smart idea...Because back of the heads are not a good idea, scratched the crap out of my firewall, owell. Did you use two chains and take the hook from the engine hoist and hook to both of them (only worrying now because its 1, good to be prepared and 2, once its up on the air it stays in the air. I just dont wonna pull back out to rechain, i hate doing things twice and so far when i ask you guys and get an answer, i do NOT have to do things twice, makes everything so much more simple ha!

I used an engine tilt. has 4 chains and a giant screw in the middle to adjust pitch.

COOLANT HOSES!!!!!

The coolant hose that came with this motor has the fitting between the hose assembly, it runs to the oil cooler. They cut the lines and I cannot use the parts that go to the radiator itself or the overflow, and idea on how to remove this middle section so I can use my oil cooler??

hey here is a little ford dealership tip i just found out, if you need dealership only parts, say you work there and you will get a discount, but have a different location and position ready, but they did not ask me so there wasn't a problem. There is no card that says you actually work there and they have no way of finding out so they HAVE to give it to you...Its great, and its not against the law nor is it a scam, they just charge way too much. I got all new vaccumm lines breather hoses and tcase gasket for 55 bucks! from 140, just by saying i work there HAHA!

There is only one way to install the sensor on the block. Don't worry about the timing. The PCM will take care of that.

Nothing, I don't have the tools for that kind of porting. My stuff is just polished, but I haven't done allot of that, just the 5four.. I don't want to be responsible for yours, sorry man. I can tell you how I did it if that will help.

how big is the factory thottle body, 75 mm? Because i would go get the 75mm bbk TB and get that ported only, than get the plenum portmatched and polished. That should give me some more "up and go" power...i hope...
