this will tell you exactly!

http://www.fordf150.net/specs/engines.php

looks like 1997, 1998 were 235 horse, 335 ft/lbs

1999-2003 were 260hp 350 ft/lbs , but its odd that the 4.6 had 260hp 350 ft/lbs as well, thats really od and seems kinda dumb.

Here is the low down. 5.4 engines. 1997-1998 had the NonPi heads with metal upper intake manifolds and plastic lowers. The 1999 model had the Pi heads with a metal upper intake. 2000 models switched to a plastic upper intake with a metal coolant cross over.

NOTE:
Just so we don't confuse the parts. The upper intake manifold bolts to the Heads. The lower intake manifold bolts to the upper intake underneath the upper intake manifold. The Throttle Body spacer, or elbow as some of us like to call it, bolts to the upper intake manifold. The throttle body bolts to the elbow.

Further note: Some of the 1997-1998 lower intake manifolds had an intake runner control valve.

One more note on the Spacer,Elbow. - The sheets I have refer to that as the "Plenum".

2000, O3 lowers don't require gaskets. 97 -99's do.

HAHA!! Woow. Oh is that because it has to go to the side of the heatshield instead of coming from the top? You still got the pictures from when you did it? What did you use to extend them?

It definately was not. This truck would have been completely done in 3 days no max if it wasnt for weather, work, parts ordering, and custom fabrication. . I've really slacked, but mainly its because from the time I pulled the 4sixxx til today I have been driving my old car. But today my cousins license gets re-instated so she NEEDS her car back. I dont want to give it up though, I love 27 MPG and the whine of the supercharger. . .

Well i automatically took that into consideration because there are things that are different things that need to be replaced and you kinda figure that out as you go, and when you do realize what you need, you order it and have to wait. And obviously in order to buy the parts ya gotta work. It was done in a timely fashion given those road blocks! Get a video goin lets hear it off the manifolds haha!

hey, you say thread the bell housing bolts from the back side but that tube is in the way, did you remove it and easily put it back on when the engine was bolted to the transmission?
