Now we are getting somewhere. Thanks to you guys with the same fan replying with your experience.

To fill in a little more I did use 10ga wire and soldered all connections. The switch turns on at 185 and off at 175. Your right it probably should be higher. I will try the wire harness that you guys suggested. The FK35. Didn't want to spend more money but do want it done right. Thanks again.

no this wiring came with no instructions and an ebayer who wont respond back
Ah, no product support. I guess that's another e-Bay lesson learned.

The wiring does have a 30amp relay and an in line fuse so I am not to worried.
With that 30 amp relay, a 30 amp fuse should be fine.

The switch turns on at 185 and off at 175.
195 is a much better temp to set that fan to turn on. Even if the fan turns on at 195, your temps can easily go up to 200 or more before they start going back down. It all depends on your ambient temperature, and operating conditions.

So i picked it up from AutoZone (greatly appriciated) and it has 2 fan control wires coming off the tempature controller, is that for dual fans? Because i noticed you tied yours together and assumed that you only used 1 of the wires or it only came with one?

Now some guys like to have one on a temp controlr and the other fan on a switch inside the truck. i guess thats what the extra wire could be used for... is that what you meANT?

Fan 1 & Fan 2 should be for the different fans. You should have 1 wire going to each fan. They will turn on simultaneously, when triggered by the temperature probe. This is the same switch type that comes with the Troyer Performance kit.

From my experience, with the Troyer supplied switches, they can fail. If you have both fans on the same switch, then when that switch fails, you have no fans at all. With one switch for each fan, if one fails, the other fan is still working. Even if the switch itself does not fail, the fuse can blow; leaving you with two disabled fans.

With the Troyer Performance kit, the second fan wire is used to power a user supplied LED light mounted to your dash. This light will come on whenever the fan turns on. A little more work, but worth it, if you want to monitor when your fans are turning on. If one fan isn't turning on, you'll also know because the light isn't on. If you don't want to use it, simply tape it off and tuck it out of the way.

PS....In the Troyer Performance kit, the second fan is not powered by the same controller because of high current draw. Depending on how much current your fans draw, you may have the same issue.

so what do you think i should do? I like the light idea i think i can pick one up somewhere, all i have to do as run it to the light as power, then ground the light right? Than what do i do with the second fan, how does that get hooked up?
