1998 f150 specs?

i was wondering what the specs are on a 1998 f150 3 door 2wd with the triton 4.6L i was wondering what size the rear end is, and the gear in it. also what the hp and the tq. specs are on it and all other information you might have....thanks.,....

i have the same exact truck in red but i couldn't tell you anything. i am kinda wondering all of that my self. how big are the stock rims and tires?

i have stock rims on mine and there 16's im not sure about factory tire size tho.

aight thanks. i'm gonna put that rough country leveling kit(coil springs) and get pipes and then see what i can do about tires

255/70/16 i do believe, and the rear end it just depends, theres like 6 different ones

heres the list (from tomatotruck) look on your sticker on the door jam where the vin is, and look where it says axle and find the number and match it on this list, mine are 3.55 non0limited slip (one wheel peel)

Rear end is most likely an 8.8 inch. Gear ratio can be found from F150fellas post.

The 98 4.6 had 220 HP, and as far as torque I cant recall...280 maybe? Will have the Non PI heads.

Tranny will be a 4r70w if its an auto, or a M50D if its a 5 speed manual.

Thats about all there is too it without some door placard codes or a VIN number to decode.

whats the best way to convert from non-limited slip to limited slip? i have the 3.55 non-limited slip

buy a locker or limited slip and have it installed, shouldnt be horribly expensive.
