Electric fan.

The short..

Replaces the stock mechanical fan and fan clutch which adds quite a bit of a parisitic load.

Electric fan mounts right to the radiator, controlled by a fan controller, and doesnt put a drag on the engine.

u could make ur own dual fan kit for under 100 bucks. couple 16" fans recommend 2500cfm minimum. get a relay per fan. a temp switch. i mounted mine to the intake manifold where my temp sender is.

Quit bumping the thread every five minutes too dude...chill out. This project requires a bit of planning if you want DIY. Wire routing and such needs to be well thought out.

heres a little bit on it

you need to know a little bit about electrical wiring to do this, which is what is deterring me from it

Go to a junkyard and start looking at E-fans outta cars i got the big 24" fan outta a lincon mark 8 3,700CFM. i just did some simple wiring. a wire from the batt. to a switch in the truck outside to the fans and the fans are grouned to my radator mounts. i have a water temp gauge so i know when to turn the fan on. Fans at my junk yard are 30 bucks for any set up you pull. To get the stock fan off autozone has a tool for the 4.9L but it works on the 4.6L or you can get just a punch and hit the nut to the left with a hammer. its gonna be on there pretty good. Took me longer to take the stock fan out then to mount and wire the E-fans Good luck
