You do that here right - http://www.customersaskford.com/

This is total BS! If I can help in any way let me know! If I knew the plugs were going to be this bad to change them I dont think I would of bought a new F150 because of it. I havnt changed them yet but just knowing it will happen one day is enough to make me mad!
Also does anyonew know if when the injectors start acting up you will get the wrench light on the panel? Reason I say this is when driving home today my truck start missing real bad and had NO power and the wrench came on the truck panel. When I got home turned it off and restarted it it went away and seemed to be running fine.

E-mailed customer service. Will call them Monday.Everyone that does this needs to confirm they have done so here so we'll at least have an idea of how many calls they have gotten. Will post what their reply is here when or if they contact me.Although it will be some time before I need a plug change I hope this will help the people that need it now.Best of luck to all.
Re: Chuggin on the hills
I am also expecting to hear from for customer care on Monday. Hopefully can get them to authorize further diagnosis and parts replacement to fix this totally frustrating situation. Will post what ever they convey to me.

I am going to email them on Tuesday (Doctors - that's plural, appts on Monday). But I will also include the address of this thread and the thread from another Ford F-150 Website to shore up my request for relief. I will also include the name of the Ford Dealership and the name of the Service Manager that told me his Dealership has never broken a plug ever.
In business communication it always best presented when offering factual incidents vice just conjecture. Ford gets hundreds of these complaints a day and their "polite" way of getting the complaining customer off the phone is the primary practice of the Ford Customer Service person. Realize that Ford has a sea of heads in the Customer Service Dept. that are well schooled in getting an irate customer off the phone with a good feeling, but some weeks later the customer realizes the same old problem is still there with no remedy having ever been received by FordMoCo.
Good luck to all who email FordMoCo and follow-up with a phone call.
Somebody posted a link on how to pull broken plugs from this type of engine. I watched out of interest and I feel this engine is designed to have the plugs "stick" in it. This will endup being covered under an extended warranty IF enought people complain, and make it known they have complained.
I got a cel light when my injectors started acting up. I would go get a scan and see if it registered any codes related to missfires. If it did, dont erase them, take it to Ford, There is an extended warranty on the injectors on the 2005 Ford 5.4..... If the code is there they should fix it. Also be careful, if the injector sticks open it could flood the cylinder and cause hydrolock, mine was so bad it blew the catalytic converter and put gas in the oil. I made them change the oil too.

lenore - You by chance remember the code that came up? Did you get lean or rich codes? There is injector specific codes, but they rarely appear.
Making a data file for this information and would like to add the code that came up on your 05 model, if you can recall it..
Thanks
I would love for someone to explain to me why new trucks are worth the money. Better gas mileage? A little I guess although even with the upcoming F-150 and 6-speed tranny - not a lot better.
Where is the value here? I know it is nice to drive a new truck and there are usually not the problems of driving older ones. Frankly, I think the older trucks may be better.
At least, you only pay somewhere around half and have a clue thanks to the internet of the problems that may exist. I am so disappointed with Ford trucks of late that I have a hard time expressing it properly.

No word yet from Ford Customer Service. They are probably editing a common reply for all the incoming e-mails.Has anyone else heard from them?If so post their reply so we can see if its the same for everyone.
Update:Just called customer service and they said unless I was having an issue now they could not help me. They also denied there was even an issue with the spark plugs. Told me to contact my dealer for further questions if I had any. So there you go,This routine I feel will not get anybody any help. If we dont stick together as a crowd this will not get anywhere. I wish you all well.

Devil's Advocate here:
You know Ford didn't design or manufacture the plugs. They asked their vendor (Motorcraft, not Ford) for a plug with certain dimensions and specs. It was not Fords fault that said vendor came up with a plug that falls apart when removed. Other plug companies have now come up with replacement plugs that do not come apart.
Ford should still stand behind what they sell though and there is no excusing their poor behavior in this fiasco. Better testing on the parts submitted should have been done.
