"Tamper Proof Torx bits"

ya' mon

you right about this torx bit... what you need is an inverted torx bit... they're available at sears and probably other places too

Crap!! I didn't realize who it was giving hell to....Honest...I apologize J.

Here's a nicer version -

What bothers me the most about CRC cleaners is the non-residue part.

I haven't used the "MAF" cleaner because they don't offer it here. I would have to order it. Still, I use the CRC non- residue electrical automotive cleaner which should have all the characteristics the MAF cleaner has.

The "non-residue" advertisements by MANY advertisers is a complete exaggeration. They all leave a residue. It's usually very faint , but it's there.

Assisting with compressed air AND @ pressures regulated to around 10-15 lbs will eliminate allot of that.

I also pull the MAF completely and wipe the wires with a piece of non-fiber cloth. I don't advise this , but that's what I do. It is very important that the MAF shoots the CORRECT info to the PCM.

The ONLY non residue electrical cleaner that I have found that actually works is @ Radio Shack. "Circuit Board Cleaner" - It's expensive at around $12 , but it's good chit.

Cleaned mine this morning - butt dyno didn't detect any difference. I'm heading up to Kansas City Monday - I'll see if the gas mileage improves any.

Wow.

Well the results are in. This morning I started off pretty hard on it to see if I could notice any changes in Gas pedal to acceleration. Wholly Crap. What delay? I was thinking maybe it would come back. A gas tank later. Ohhhh Mama. I don't know how to describe it but there was this little delay from the time I put my foot on the gas to acceleration. Put new Plugs and COPS and still had it. Procedure seemed way too simple but really blasted the snot out of the sensor with the MAF cleaner by CRC. I enjoyed driving my truck already but man... It started to sprinkle a little and found a nice wide place to just do a couple of d-nuts. That took me back. What’s nice is when I hit that gas pedal I'm moving. Thanks guys, this truly was a great fix, hell I had that JP blasting and moving around 85 no problem. Of course that did not last long but the JP was blasting all the way home.

Yea , make sure you reboot your computer after you improve anything that's air metering to get the full effect

A clean TB,Elbow,Ports and a new set of forward O2's (banks 1 and 2- sensors 1) will make things that much better ..
