wow built this thread has come a long way. Hows your F-150 doin??

Also congrats on the powerstroke. it is crazy how much easyer it is to make power with a diesel. injectors, Turbo, Tune and you can get 500-700 HP and close to 1000 FTlbs. not to mention that beautiful black smoke everyone loves!!

What are your plans for the exhuast... Stacks??? cant wait to see what ya do with it. After seeing what you did to your F150 that Diesel is gonna be insanly fast!

im actually going to stick with the stock turbo for now. Im changing it to ball bearing and until its actually needed, ill run it. It has a single black stack in the bed. Not a fan of stacks, but this one looks good, since its black and cab height, you dont even notice it.

sweet. cant wait to see this build. i like stacks only on diesels and rollin some coal.

ball bearing like the 6.0L powerstroke has?? becarful. heard of alot of 6 liters looseing the bearings out of the turbos or the needle bearings and plugin the oil pump.

Your ball bearing turbo isn't even variable vane like the 6.0 I would guess since you wont have a computer input on the vane control.

They go bad because people are trying to push 25 to 30 psi of boost out of them. They are only good for around 22 psi, a popular switch is van turbo with WW and new housing. You might want to do the IDM mod while you are not DD the truck.

His stock Garrett turbo is good for 25lbs. And a wicked wheel would be a 120% complete waste of time and money on his truck, because he already has one. The wicked wheel is a stock turbo wheel out of a pre 99.5 Powerstroke.

IDM is the Injector Driver Module. I forget what all is involved, but I think you change out a resistor in it. You need somebody who is pretty experienced with soldering on circuit boards, or else you can toast your several hundred dollar IDM pretty easily...
