I'll know if it works when the truck goes back on the road again.
jbrew - I tried to help 'ol Neal with this. The CAP is still the answer.

Neal - it ain't EMI - the glovebox deal won't work; the interference is coming through the wiring.

check around jbrew, most shops dont warrant race built engines.

they now that it have the crapran out of it and the customer usually chooses there own parts,

they might help with labor but not on parts or shipping.

a crate engine might be a differnt story but most crates with any kind of warranty are from a big shop and you buy what they have, you dont get to chose all the parts.

i would be real surprised if neal had a warranty. only he can answer that

I'll take your word for it, what a chance to take.

A background check for sure before letting a builder have it..

HI!... The bottom end had a warranty on the work done, not the parts. Since it was the machine shops fault that the engine failed due to their workmanship it was covered. If it was a rod that broke then it would not of been covered. Since they screwed up the measurments on the bearing clearances, it was their fault.

Anyhow it will never go back there and neither will I. I do as much as possible now to bad mouth the company and to steer people/friends away from them. They have screwed so many people in the last 3 years I'm surprised their still in buisness......

HI!... I know most of the interference is coming through the wiring. Like I said the cap is still going to be installed. A buddy of mine with a mustang was having the same problem when he installed the GRAN COPS. His MUSTANG is a pure drag car and he relocated the PCM to the trunk and sheilded it with some kind of EMI suppresent. It seemed to work for him. Figure I would try both. It can't hurt, plus I want to clean up the engine compartment a bit.

Hi.

Agreed - it can't hurt... but it shouldn't be necessary.

Good luck.

engine builders around here warranty their workmanship. if they mess up and it can be proven, its warrantied.
