Throttle Body Spacer?

Has anyone installed a Throttle Body Spacer on a 2006 F150 5.4L
I wanted to know if these really are worth the $100?
Thanks for and info...

I'm not sure on the three valve but they do not work on the two valve and the results are prob the same for your motor.

I got one for free and installed it for the hell of it. No difference in performance or MPG but I did notice a difference in sound. When I floor it, really sounds kickass!!!!
I would NOT spend $100 for it (or $75 or $50 or $25....)

actually they do increase power. will you feel it? probably not. the common myth is they spin more air in which they do not. in order to understand how they CAN work you need to understand how and engine works. when your piston is reaching TDC on the exhaust stroke there is a duration when both intake and exhaust valves are open. this is called valve overlap. the incoming air from the intake valve helps push exhaust gasses out the exhaust valve. this is called scavenging. the more of the exhaust that is able to escape before the next compression stroke the better(more fresh air=more oxygen=better combustion). the added turbulence created from the throttle body spacer helps this process. why is it not like this from the factory you may ask? for the same reason they dont put on good flowing exhaust. noise.

Thumbs down

The last thing you want in your intake tract is turbulance. You want velocity. Those things are a joke.

Just my opinion on Throttle Body Spacers "THEY SUCK" My wife bought me a Airaid Intake and TBS Insatlled both and took her for a ride in the new unleashed beast. After getting to 35 I looked at her and punched it. Needless to say My face went into the steering wheel and busted my nose JK But she died laughing at how pitifull it was. I turned around and ripped the TBS out and put the New intake back on and it runs perfect and makes a differnce. So dont waste your money. Plus my kids make enough noise so I dont need a TBS screeming at me all the time. Looking for my Edge now
