Removing the silencer

I didn't say a stock 5.4L , only when comparing stickers at the dealship was when I mentioned a stock comparison.. 22 MPG in an Expy ? That's gotta be some kind of record..

Anyway, you could mod the 5.4L with an intake , headers , flow thru's and a nice cat back system - that alone would catch it up in mileage with a stock 4six..

22mpg in an Expy? My 4.6 only gets like 16mpg.

Most guys don't drive like my mom. I doubt that you do either.

I'm not joking about the mileage though. She gets over 20 on almost every tank. It gets 20 when we all load up and go on vacation.

Kidding aside - I managed close enough to 20 to call it 20 mpg once - Think it came out to 19.8 something. That was on cruise 65mph thru flat Ohio on the turnpike ..

Once I hit the mountains in PA - forget it!! That was just to much fun

Most definatley I managed a 20.5ish average....once.

Most of the time its 14-15ish
