Yeah , that sucks not having one - they don't make a catch pan big enough to keep from making a freakin mess and if you bobble or slipp with a pan that has that much fluid in it - you just about have to call HAZZ-MATT to clean up that mess. ..- If the accumulator body wasn't in the way you could shove a hose down the filler tube and suck it out - BUT.....

Poor Jbrew, does it suck not being mechanically inclined? (just kidding, I know your not too bad...)didn't anyone teach you how to take off a pan w/o spilling it, leave strategically placed bolts in it pan and slowly pry off one side to drain. on the other my TQ has a drain plug which is nice, because when I do a fluid change, only about 1.75 quarts gets left in the cooler, basically all new fluid w/o flushing it.

Oh yeah, were the extra holes you drilled in the instructions in the kit, or was it some good old, "that looks like a good place"?

NO, i don't need to anymore I added 8 ounces of modifyer instead of 4 when i changed the fluid and now it doesn't shudder anymore, fixed.I have also been thinkin when i changed it the first time i added the recomended amount (4) and it started doing it shortly after.I wonder if it could have had 8 in to begin with?I don't know about long term effect of adding double mod but it seems like the extra is a small percentage.I guess only time will tell but for now it's fixed. You and klitch have really got me thinkin about that shift kit!!!!With my edge it will bark em pretty hard on the 1-2 shift but you have to be walkin it hard. Are the instructions w/ that pretty good and how long did it take roughly?I also assume it gives you a template for the holes to drill in the valve body?

Can you back down the light-throttle shift firmness levels with your edge?

I'm not positive on your trans - it's quite a bit different . I have the HD trans that they use in the Lightnings and F250's.

For the 4R70w's , the shift firmness is simply holes you drill for 2nd, 3rd and 4th. There is a template , but you choose the drill bit size.

I just opened up chambers for more flow since I now had twice the holding power.

It's easy to do..

jbrew,no part throttle settings.I could have played w/ shifts some more and played w/ the rev limiter but figured i would leave it alone. It pulls harder up top after increasing WOT fuel.I may have to pull my monitor because every time i look at it i start thinkin about what to adjust.I think i might be better to just put in the shift kit because w/ the edge it's just increasing fluid pressure and i don't really know how much my 4R70W will take

Thanks,I really want it now after reading that!!!
i guess that would be a good test to find the effects of adding double modifyer to the LS.

Damn!! I think I'm gonna pull the tranny. Freakin A!!! I should of just done that to begin with ......

I can't tear apart my rear end without checkin out the converter first. If I hold the brake and hit the gas it slipps and shudders, first time I held the brake and tested it ... - that's NOT the rear - it's gotta be the converter or worse - forward clutch..

Mannn, I wish this problem would just go away.... - It's been almost a freakin year!!!
