GVRW is 7,000 lbs

and the tranny gear ratios are..

1st 3.333
2nd 1.960
3rd 1.353
4th 1.000
5th 0.728
6th 0.588
Reverse 3.061

and the rear is 4.30 auto L/S

alluminum block? + 110mph= engine block warpage? j/k LOL i like my cast iron block much stronger toyota should of went with a cast iron imo

hey uber can you post up dyno graphs of hp and torque curves of the toy vs the f-150 if you have it avail?

5200 lbs and motor trend ran a 14.6 @ 93 mph in the toyota.

comparing a 1/2 ton gas engine to a 3/4 - 1 ton diesel is stupid, 2 differnt animals , 2 different buyers.

toyota
401@3600 (70.35 per liter)
381 hp @5800 (66.82 per liter)

ford
365@3,750 (67.59 per liter)
300@5,000 (55.556 hp per liter)

i remember when the 97 ford came out, i thought, omg they made a taurus truck, give this truck time and a nice set of 22", a little computer tuning and aftermarket mods and this truck will be the chit.

sorry my brotheren dave but since toy doesnt make a 3/4 ton i thought id out do it sorry my bad i know there is no comparison. just had to give uber a hard time then again id smoke him on my bike any day so there is no worries about speed

Weight makes HUGE difference. Weights hard to factor = (RWHP) Unless you have 1/4 mile times FW HP and Torque doesn't mean much, to me any hoo..

The three valve 5.4L has quite a few more ponies than my non PI 2 valve and the trucks that the 3 valves are in are heavier.

My 98 2 valve makes 2 guys I know - one with an 04 5.4L and the other with an 05 cry on race day lol..

So is the Toyoduh really all that..?? Has anyone found any times out there yet of the stock FORD??


Mannn , I have to say, if I had a 6 speed , that would be bad a$$..

toyota weight is 5200, figure 200 for a driver for a total of 5400

14.6 @ 93 mph.

i sal e machinery to the toyota plant in Texas and the guy i deal with has been telling me that the 5.7 make a little over 400 hp. the 380 , just like the nissian 305 rating is just a number.

the new 3v f150 makes 40 more hp than the 2v but it is 500 pound heavier. should be a wash or slight advantage to the 2v. my 97 5.4 would alway out run my 01 pi motor in a 0 - 50 race.

thats a matter of opinion.


my crew leader at work ( who has an 04 F-150 ) walked up to my new truck and said " thats my new truck right there".

he likes the fact that the nose is short ... long nose = wasted space..

atleast thats how he put it..

the looks had to grow on me. it was the ride, power and quality that sold this thing.

and im not to worried about it blowing up.. it has a 7 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper zero deductible warranty..

I like the extended cab, that four door one uber has, kinda looks weird b.c they didnt put enough window on the back seat....

That all sounds good , but only time will tell to see how all that pans out -

Good luck with it ube, but your going to be kicking yourself when the new Fords come out . My daughters been begging me for my 98 lol. I 'll give it to her next year. I'm either getting the 08 or I looking for a low mileage 03, but I want both lol..

HI!... Ya once the new F-150 bodystyle comes out with the new 6.2L 425H.P the TUNDRA will be OLD news. lol!

Hey I've towed more than 10,600LBS with my F-150 when it was stock. lol!
