Too much power means that if I was to drop the clutch in first gear like I was drag racing, the rearend and 5 speed trans would probably explode if it got traction. They aren't the known for their strength you know! I would have to upgrade them to be able to use the power the motor is capable of making.

Believe me, I wish I could. I have been waiting for this thing to get fixed since the first of July. I want to be able to enjoy it for a while first.

The monster in the box - I'de go with the trusty 9 inch

Look at what ford did with the 100 they used on the lightnings - that's better than the monster in my opinion.

The 9 inch may be an option, or the 9.75 rear with 4.10 gears. Don't know how to help with 5 speed trans though. Not sure who makes a top notch drop in 5 speed that would work.

How did you end up with a 5 speed - not many of those out there . I think Ford only put those in there work trucks , but still , not to many of them.

Stepfather worked at ford dealership in NC, so I ordered it the way I wanted it. The 97 Flaresides were not even on the lot when I picked what I wanted. I got it at cost too, which didn't hurt

OMG - ROTFL - Can't beleive you said that - that's funnier than HELL

The calipers I have on the truck currently are RED haha and the left side drags like biatch. So these should put me up at least 5 ponies, that's why I consider this part of my build.

So no way am I paintin them red - bad luck!! Purple - No thanks , I'de rather stear clear from Mr. Ben Dover (the proctologist)
