Talking Best way to get more from the 4.6

I've been watching what everyone does to squeeze power out of the 4.6
i havent done anything to really get power but i'll probably get a superchip tuner in the next month or so, i have a k&n filter and 40 series muffler(i might put high flo cats on it)

So gimme some insight on what the next item for my wallet to cry over i'm at 155,000 miles so superchargers out

and lets hear and see what everyones doin to their 4.6, and 5.4 if u wern't lucky enough to get a smaller less powerfull motor---but still doesnt rev as high---

I have true duals with an H-pipe, functional ram air hood that feeds into the stock airbox, and MSD coil packs. I have the 5-speed, makes it a fun truck to drive.

My question is... Why? All it's gonna do is make yer fuel economy that much worse, and IT'S A TRUCK ferchrissakes... what you need to do 0-60 in 11 seconds instead of 12.5? As if it matters..

Trucks are for hauling crap, not going fast.

I've seen Neal's truck on here, and it is badass, but he's got at least $100 g's in it (unless he's related to Troyer)... way too spendy for me.

I've got an $9000 bike that'll do 0-60 in about 2.9 sec.. and it can turn too! My truck is just fine stock.

PI Swap from a 99+ motor could probably get you about 40hp, 4.6's love intake and exhaust mods as well.

A tune is a great place to start but if you are going to do intake and exhaust mods I would do them first before the tune. Electric water pump, aluminum driveshaft, gears, if you have a belt driven fan swapping out to an electric unit will free up a few ponies. Thats about as far as bolt ons go after that you have to go into the motor with things like cams, P&P heads, etc.

You could also get a shift kit for your tranny, won't give you any more power but it will firm up the shifts helping acceleration.
