Cool

HI!... The REG cab shortbox, HEMI's are the only ones that are decently quick. I can beat my buddies reg-cab, SB, HEMI with my bone stock RANGER 4.0L.. At the track he runs 15.80E.T to my 15.5E.T. The 4x4, EC versions are slow as hell. Not even worth racing them with either of my trucks. I used to rape them with my F-150. Wasn't even worth the gas.

the only "worthy" truck I've raced is a '03 Screw 5.4L jacked up and on some big mud tires (im a nub when it comes to redneck trucks) he had a K&N sticker and a superchips sticker on his back window and from 45-85 i had his front fender looking at my taillights. from the sound of his 'flows, he was WOT all the way, as was I. not looking forward to racing a HEMI with my V6. I was suprised I even managed to stay ahead of a triton

you need to get one of ur friends and a vid cam and just ride around town all night and find some ppl to race. i wanna see some chebbys or dodges getting their asses handed to them and then their facial expressions and excuses afterwards!

I had a Black Hemi RAM pull up next to me in the outside lane (the one that disappears when you cross the intersection). I think he thought he was just gonna stomp it and get ahead of me before the lane merged. When the light turned green, I could hear his Hemi revving, but it kept getting fainter behind me as we crossed the intersection. He did have a real disappointed and sheepish look on his face (from what I could see in my rear view).

I wasn't driving my F150, I was in the Trailblazer SS. I don't know why he thought he even had a slim chance. It was hilarious......

i think the funnyest thing is the newer hemi's....are well half hemi's so dodge can save money...they have the hemi heads....but no hemi piston so they lose compression so the Hemi is worse than the normal 5.7L haha Go dodge!!!! i raced a trailblazer SS....i even had like 3 trucks infront of him....and then he blew by me and the kid said it was only 1/2 to 3/4 thorttle those things are fast!!!

Not to be a ****, but whats your point?
I think you got my point

the new 5.7 hemi will make 380 hp.

i think the f150 looks better and rides better, but in a race, it is what it is.

stock they are still slower then a stock F250 5.4L just because its a low rev heavy vehicle.

before i call you a dumbass for making a statement that a diesel is slower than its gas counterpart ill let you correct it if you like. otherwhise diesels are fast

I love how you guys bash hemis by saying "oh well, um they can't beat a Trailblazer SS so they're slow" or "They can't beat my 500 HP supercharged F150" - Thats like comparing apples to oranges. I'm talking bone stock hemi. If any of you have a bone stock F150 you'd like to line up against my Hemi I'd beat glad to blow your doors off any day - In fact I've done it already to two F150's in the past two weeks I have owned the truck. For all of you who want to talk -

why dont you ask this N/A hemi running 12.0's If he wants to race? - - ->

Umm, they're all talking trash because you kind of came in here talking your Hemi macho bullcrap first..

I'm really not trying to start an argument, but you knew when you started bragging about your Hemi that this was going to happen.

We got 2 brand new hemi Rams here on the base. They are both crew cab duellies and we dropped a rod on each of them working them hard, they came out of the bush on flat-beds... We also have a few older F350 duellies that work the same way and they never miss a shift and they have the 5.4s in them...All the rest are diesel.

The Rams are powerful though, they will suck you into the seat.

A buddy is doing his Lightning up now and has bought the carbon kit for it. I'm not sure what he has done but he has spent a pile of cash on it lately. I heard talk of 480 hp or something to that effect...He has just came back from Afghanistan and is an old fart like me...

Cool

HI!... Well this is perfect timing. This morning I ran into a Grey 2006 HEMI, QUAD CAB, 4X4. Later I found out he had headers, full exhaust, CAI. We ran from a dead stop (TRAFFIC LIGHT). I pulled him out of the hole by half a truck length. The top of my 1ST gear he caught me and we were side by side. I hit 2ND gear and pulled on him about 3FT. It stayed like that all the way up to 85MPH. Then we had to slow down for traffic. The look on his face was priceless!!!! His mighty HEMI just got beat by a BONE STOCK FORD RANGER 4.0L, extended cab, 4x2. BWAAAAAAA! We talked for a bit at the next light. That's how I got his mods. He said his next mod was going to be a programmer. He wants to run again some time. I said sure, but not until the 4.10's and my SCT tune gets installed. That should bring my stock 15.5E.T down into the high 14's. See having all that HEMI power means nothing when you weigh 1 million pounds compared to my RANGERS 3900LBS. And let's not forget the fury of the 207H.P! lol!
