to kickinblue 4x4, my truck is a reg cab short box 4x4 gears. Because I'm honest, and dont care who wins (I like both so I win either way), I went to a Dodge dealer today and drove one with 3.92's (which comes standard with 20's). Big difference! The mod motors from Ford like to rev, not so with the pushrod Hemi. By the way, my friends Ford also has 3.55's. Mines out of breath by about 4800 rpm, his feels like it starts there.

i have 2 fords with the 5.4, my brother has a quad cab hemi with 20" and the 3.92 rear end, it will run 15.2 all day long, at the dragstrip, no guessing no excuses no BS that is what it runs, i have offered a couple of times to meet anyone in houston with a stock n/a 5.4 at the track and hey dont bite or crawfish out of it. the hemi goes 2.1 sixty foots, better than both of my fords and the 97 has 3.73 gears.

i cant speak for the new 3v engine but i have never seen (remember i go to the track were BS is checked at the gate) and have never seen a stock 5.4 run in the 15's, of course all the ones i have seen are supercrews and extended cabs.

 

Well, I dont know what to tell ya. Believe what you want, but I had him until about 50, after that he was out like flint.

 

HI!... I have seen many STOCK 5.4 F-150's run in the high 15's. My truck when stock went 16.01E.T and I spun half way through 1st gear. Had a terrible 2.5 60ft. After I learned how to launch the truck I usually pulled 2.0 60FT's on the stock tires but at that time I already had many mods and was running in the 14's. It would of gone 15's stock no problem with a bit more practice on the launching. I believe RAOUL went 15.7E.T completely bone stock.

 

LOL Wow you pulled on a Hemi to 50. What a whole 6 seconds of happiness and the guy had to seriously get a crappy start.There is no way and I mean no way, that a 4.6 comes even comes close to beating a Hemi. You'd be lucky to beat a 4.7 or a 5.9 and with the mods you have displayed, you are lucky to have 50 extra h.p.

Maybe it was due to the Hemis TMS that you pulled on him, but I am still calling BS. Must have had the bed full of bricks then.

I've raced every type of Ford out there and the only one that has beat me was the Lightning and that was only because it was supercharged.

#1 if that Lightning wasn't supercharged, it would be just like every other pos Ford out there. Slow as hell and with a wannabe tough guy behind the wheel.

#2 I'm 10-1 against Fords, so I am not making any excuses. I got beat, yes, but not by much and the Lightning is supercharged. Put that supercharger on my Hemi and it is untouchable.

 

What's in it for me? Another Ford, smoked like a Garcia Vega. Honkey, please. Come down to Norwalk anytime you want to run.
