Gas milage

It's hard to suggest things to buy for the purpose of getting better mileage (spending money in order to spend less money...)
But, intake, e-fans, and maybe a chip would be the first things to look at (I'd look at chip last since that usually requires going up to premium gas and doesnt help the fact that youre getting better mileage but spending more on gas).

I am sorry to say this but my E-Fans did not give me any great milage improvement. In combination with some of the other mentioned upgrades it would prob. work out but the fans alone gave me no real noticable fuel milage improvement. I still like them as an upgrade to the stock cooling set up and my A/C is much improved.

Buy a Civic. JK
My brother owns a 94 with the 302 and gets about 12 mpg in the city if he is reallllly nice to it. Otherwise, he gets 10. Just the nature of a fullsize truck. You could try synthetics in the diffs, engine, and transmission which could give you a little more but don't expect 2-3 mpg better. Changing your driving habits is the cheapest and most beneficial for getting more mpg. No pedal to the metal starts or standing on the brakes at the last minute to stop.

I have gas milage woes, too. I have 2 F-150's. 1990 std cab long bed 2WD 5.0L automatic with fiberglass canopy and 114K miles which gets 13/15MPG. I am selling this because it doesn't seat my 3 kids and is not 4x4.
I purchased a 1992 F-150 4.9L 5 speed 4X4 supercab shortbed with a fiberglass canopy and 98K miles also all stock which gets 10/13 mpg. It drives great but gets worse milage. Any suggestions?
I am not sure of the history but the truck is clean. I just had 90K mile service, tune-up, and "sea foam" treatment. No improvement. No brake drag. I did just order the K&N FIPK today... $211 from Checker Auto Parts... based on previous posts. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

1. Keep your RPM's around 2000 when accelerating
2. Let the truck coast before stopping or turning. Allow the transmission to downshift to slow the vehicle.
3. A good set of street tires such as Goodyear Wrangler AP's will increase your mileage about 2 MPG, but they suck in wet conditions, off road and winter weather.
