Temp1, Ok, you have the cooler dudads on your truck, I can take it.... Still want a cool cover though... I could bolt a nice ford emblem on it... Oh well....

grinomyte, according to the can, it says its safe to put in the crankcase. I put it in right before my oil change (about 100 miles before).

Wife is out in truck, yet I did manage to put 1/4 can in crankcase and 3/4 in tank. Tonight I plan on running another can through the brake booster -- How long should I wait to be sure I get the best bang for the buck with this stuff ?

WOW

This stuff worked great, I'm sure the neighbors loved breathing the cloud that emitted after several rough attempts and starting and getting moving. Yet once I was going it was cloud city for about 5min then smooth, improved accel & just clean !

Good stuff !!

I put 8 oz in the brake booster line and 24 oz in the gas tank, then I topped off the gas.

in the 4.6l is the brake booster hose located in the same area as the 5.4l? is it the big round black thing with the little white "tap" coming out of it with a hose the come from it that goes to what looks like a metal line? thanks

Would it be possible for an old/dirty fuel filter to cause any problems if you added this product to the gas tank before replacing the fuel filter?

If the Seafoam loosens a bunch of crud out of the gas tank then it could clog the old fuel filter but I have not read any posts where this has happened.

If you think the Seafoam might flush crude out of your gas tank then add seafoam in the gas tank just before you plan on changing the fuel filter and then change the fuel filter when the gas tank is below 1/4 tank.

My thought was more of the possibility of the sea foam in your gas tank loosening up some of the crud that has accumulated in your fuel filter, and possibly allowing it to pass the fuel filter and into your fuel injection, in which case you'd be smarter to use a brand new fuel filter. Which do you think is the better way to go - useing sea foam before or after the fuel filter swap, or is not important either way?

From: Spokane WA (that's Spo-Can dumbass) and NO I'm not close to Seattle.
I did the seafoam thing in my 97 4.6 with 93000 miles and noticed no difference in performance or milage, but when I used it in my 91 bronco with a 351 and 135000 miles there was a huge change in acceleration, not sure about milage as I don't care on that truck.
