Removing resonator

Has anyone taken the resonator off of their Eco boost and noticed a power increase? I took mine off and can't really tell much difference. It didn't look really very restrictive. Any info is appreciated.

The resonator isn't restrictive at all, it just makes it quieter.

did you replace the resonator with a 3" pipe? Also most recommend replacing the flex pipe also which is 2.5 inches.. Replacing both with 3" pipe makes it a ture 3" system all the way back. It should help a little.

On most Ford exhausts the biggest choke point is the Y merge point.

I replaced it with a factory pipe that was the same size as the rest of the exhaust.
Sorry, I spelled resonator wrong on the title.

My 2014 RCSB Ecoboost came from the factory with no resonator.

I didn't think you could get a 3.5 EB in a regular cab short bed?
I bet that's a screamer.

The 2014 Tremor is the only RCSB that came with the 3.5 Eco. From what I've read they made 606 of them, 318 FX2's and 288 FX4's.
I bet that's a screamer.
It's really quick with the MPT tunes.
