Post beat a 4.6... hehe

i was out at rankin (houston) and i asked a guy with a stock supercab 4.6 automatic f150 to race... he said sure but he would win because he had a v8...

well, he pulled a car length ahead in 1st gear but as soon as he shifted i jumped ahead by a half truck length and kept pulling on him untill i beat him by 2 lengths. i can really tell the difference in the shifts with the superchip. he asked what i had done and i said $450 chip'n'filter!!!

made me happy!

Cool

hey, i used to live in houston and go to rankin every weekend. I just got back from there this past weekend. Next time I go well have to meet up. You can just read the signature to decide if you want to run, but I think I would win. I may be going back in two weeks for the Fun Ford weekend at Baytown. Maybe I'll see you then.

i think i've seen a couple of yellow firebirds, so maybe i've seen you and your friend will316

Usualy when I go, I hang out at the Celebration Station Parking lot. My friend is a manager their and its private property, so the cops can't run us out of their. He is supposed to get a SS Camario next week. He always closes at night so you'll see him around their.

Question

Tallywacker, you said you ran a 17.2 or so in the 1/4? I ran a 16.5 @88mph BONE STOCK, there is no way you would beat me then or now, are you sure the guy was racing after 1st gear? I'm not trying to be mean but c'mon, I also spun hard core and ran a 2.4 60ft. Can't wait to see what I'll do this year with the mods and now that I got awesome traction!

Cool

Talleywacker, I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I also didn't take into consideration the fact that my truck would be alot lighter. I wish I could get a race like that on the streets. The only things that want to race me are Mustangs, or Camaros and they will kick my ***.

Let's see if you can get your truck down into the 16's, I will be in the 15's for sure this year, the only question for me is how low into the 15's.

yes... we raced untill i hit 83 or so mph, then i braked. now wether or not he wasn't flooring it; i don't know... but we did race the whole way.

he was also a supercab and i dont think he had limited slip either. he had one of those big shiny tool boxes in the back too, so there is a weight issue.

I'm not saying i can beat v8's, but i made me happy when i saw the look on his face when my 6 out ran HIS TRUCK

Hey Talleywacker, the celebration station is right across the street from the racetrack and carwash. Just look across the street! I know it can be hard to turn away from all the action.

I don't like the cops flashing thier light in my face thinkin thier above the law. i got pulled over once and the cop tried saying i had a warrant out in el paso; when i've never been in el paso!!!

i'll be at FFW in baytown, I park with all the Lightning buddies; maybe i'll see you there. after i plan on going to rankin.

Anybody can park over there. The only thing is, that sometimes they lock the gates. Usualy I just hang out there with my freind and some of the workers. I've been trying to find out some info on the FFWeekend, to see if I should go. I live in Abilene, Tx. It's a 6 hour drive to Houston. Do you know how much it is to get in. You said you were going to park with the lightning buddies. Is it like a car show or a get together. I just got married on 27 Jan and are trying to payoff allot of bills($5,000 worth), so i'm on a tight budget. I really want to go. I think I can squeeze a few more dollars. Is it just on Sat, or does it start Fri. Any info helps, thanks
