yeah i'm in abilene. Don't know if i want to admit to it. i've never been to san angelo, the only reason i would go is to go to the Jack in the Box. Damm i miss sourdough jacks! i really want to go, but at the same time i need to save some money for when i go to vegas in may. if i decide to go i'll give you a heads up. check the events and happening's forum, i'll post there.

I live in Austin and i drive around 183 picking fights with z71's and other... i haven't done but a few mods and i can keep up with the z71 off the line and take them in long and then the ford v8's i smoke them retarded... it is fun but i am convinced i got a good engine cause i drove a friend of mine's 4.2 and it has no ***** compared to mine... keep it up guys

i've been saying that ever since i got my 4.2. the power output from this thing is outragous. people drive it and swear it has a v8. for some reason there are some 4.2s out there that perform far above what you'd expect. i've got one. i know. i just don't understand why...

I don't have any mods yet, don't make runs at the strip, but when I step on the pedal of my 4.2L, 3.55 gears, SC LWB it scares me! Runs like a bat out'a hell. I had an F-150 back in 1977 (400 C.I.D.) and I don't remember it having the acceleration this things got. Incredible!!!!

Tallywacker, you said you ran a 17.2 or so in the 1/4? I ran a 16.5 @88mph BONE STOCK, there is no way you would beat me then or now, are you sure the guy was racing after 1st gear? I'm not trying to be mean but c'mon, I also spun hard core and ran a 2.4 60ft. Can't wait to see what I'll do this year with the mods and now that I got awesome traction!

Hey I have the 4.2 also I have installed an Ariad intake and a Flowmaster. Also I have changed my plugs to Bosh +4 and my wires to 8mm. I have a Jet Chip (but I think it is crap) Where can I order the superchip for my 4.2?? 1998 regular cab short bed
