well if anyone ever rear ends you they will just bounce off the tires with no damage to either vehicle. Sweet!

That is freakin amazing. I couldn't see me doing that to my truck but I sure as hell would love to drive it once.

I love your truck, i hope it drives alright. At first i was like thats not very tall then i saw the other photos. There is a VERY tall Pacific green 4.2 V6 single cab in Ft. Myers but i think you go him.

If its the one im thinking of Its Farmboy Fabrications truck. Its a regular cab long bed. Green on 44's?

if so the his motor was a stock 4.6L now its a 12v 5.9L cummins

pictures of said truck in regular cab thread over in97-03 section

Nope. Not the Farmboys, although that one is very nice. It looks like yours except green. Its front windshield says "Got Mud?"

i appreciate the work involved.. but that doesn't look like it has that much more wheel/axle front/rear ground clearance over any other lifted truck here with only a 6" lift...

anyhow.. best of luck

not neccessarily the only thing im gaining over said "lifted truck with only 6inch "

My axle tubes are 20" or so off the ground, once the truck is sitting on its FULL size tires they will be more like 23"-25" off the ground.

Now ill measure a 97-03 F150 4x4 with 9" of lift and 35's tonight and post the difference. And im gonna take one from lowest point and one from center.

Now the OTHER reasons my setup is FAR suppieror to the 6"

1. Lower Gearing
2. 1 ton axles much stronger than the 8.8 IFS 1/2 axle
3. No weak CV shafts, nor ball joints. Ive got kingpins, and HIEMS
4. More room from bottom of cab to ground (this helps for crossing water) The water my truck has been in would have definitely fried the ECU in the Kick panel of the passanger side, this WILL ruin a day quickly.
5. Less chance of sucking up water, been there done that on 36's thread to prove it (look in the archives)
6. More lift = bigger tires = more ground clearance from diff to ground.
7. Heres a BIG one, turning radius. Im on 17x40/16.5's and cant turn FULL LOCK. 97-03 with 3" body lift 6" Suspension lift, 2" torsion crank can ONLY run 38x15.5x16 and this causes fairly bad rubbing of frame, tierods, torsion bars.

Not to mention, the power i plan to crank out from my diesel swap would snap 1/2ton axles like twigs.

Not to mention the type of offroad i do would cripple a 97-03 F150 on 38's (closest size to mine... still small)

Not to mention just regular street use with a 97-03 F150 on WIDE 38's is going to cause alot more part fatigue than my setup with 40's

hope that helps some of the less knowledgable

Your truck reminds me of those R/C trucks that kids play with, just with smaller tires. Seriously
