Or do a 5.9 12v swap and it will stay the tallest 6 cyl, lol.

6BT's require too much modifying of the engine/cab/etc. A 4BT will virtually bolt right up, with just a few mods to the engine mounts and such. Plus the weight of the 6BT is going to be ridiculous!!!

Trimble weighed all the option before he decided, and as much as he wanted to do a 6BT, a 4BT was more feasible.

I know, but I still like to push him. Plant crazy ideas in his head. I am more concerned with getting a front drive shaft in that truck before a motor, lol.

well as of right now nothing is set in stone. Not having very much luck finding an adapter for the 4bt to 4r70w. So if i have to change the transmission then ill be going with a 5.9L 12v or 7.3L Powerstroke.

5.9L will definitely be the easiest, if i decide to go with the stroke ill need a whole donor truck. Which i can get for about 5k (not bad really) Considering most GOOD shape 5.9L are in the 7k plus range.

right now heres my options.
3.9L/4r70w/203,205 case
5.9L/allison/unknown case
7.3L/4r100/203,205 case

also thinking about gas aswell
6.2Lstroked 5.4/4r75w/203,205 case
460 BB/c5/203,205 case
6.8L v10/4r100 (i believe)/203,205 case

Front shaft wont come till after the motor so im kinda motivated to get the motor done.

Now its people like Kyle that keep this thing intresting.
