Oh, and I won't believe your SG2, show me some math that you did at the pump. Remember to keep variables like pump, station, and gas type the same.

X2. Sure, the magic scan gauge says one thing, but that isn't enough proof. There are TONS of variables that can affect that. We want real numbers damn it.

I hit around 20mpg and 500-700km (310-435miles) to a tank depending on where I go. And I am not gentle on the throttle and only have modified the exhaust system.
My best mileage I have ever gotten on this truck in the 3 years I have owned it was on a straight hi-way tour and I was travelling at a steady 160km/h (100mph) and the truck had 400km (250miles) around the half mark. Round trip took 750km (470miles) on one tank from origin to destination and back... that was running Premium with 2 Octane boosts tho...(if those really matter, lol)

Just my experience thought I'd toss out for the wolf's

well i got 245 miles on my tank now... and it is a little below half a tank... so like 2/3 of the tank is gone... im not think that is very good... i will fill up tonight and do the math... last time i did the math i got 14.23 mpg... i thought that was horrible... but all 300 of those miles were in town driving and im definetly not easy on the throttle... so i guess come to think of it... tha aint that bad...

not this weekend but next weekend... im going to pierre.... that is 220 miles away from here... last time i went i went all those 220 miles on a half a tank... i thought that was pretty good... but i dont know... im sure my millage is between 14 (town) and 19 (highway/interstate)

my manual starts to cut out at 98... and its a manual... if there was no governor... i could do that in 4th.... so im srue the truck is capable of 120 if there was no governor but i ont need to go that fast in a pickup.... so i wont worry about it... lol if i wanna go that fast ill get in the 06 mustang.

yes I have the 5spd Manual (non-stock internals, longer top end) and a 3.55 Auburn Locker Diff. My girlfriends truck is auto best I can get is 150 and it runs into a wall (governor/limiter/whatever you wanna call it) But when I was gettting that mileage it was an open diff on a 3.08 with stock transmission.

Why go so fast? At 100 mph just a little pothole could grab that wheel and flip you a good 6-10 times. Trucks arent made for high speed and definately arent built for stability and speed + stability in a truck kills. I've seen it several occassions. My brother has lost friends racing 120+ in pickups. Not to mention I HIGHLY doubt your getting 20 mpg at 100 mph unless there was a semi going that fast and you were drafting or you had an extremely long downhill.

Well that tank I got 420 miles when the Low Fuel light came on and I stretched it to 440 before my SG2 warned me I have 0.05 hundreths of a tank remaining. And according to my little fuel book here I filled it to 22.3 gallons until the pump stopped. Lets say 440 miles and 22.3 gallons = 19.73 mpg. 60% city, 40% highway. Not to mention for some odd reason when I fall below 1/4 tank I have this urge to jump on it. I guess going so slow for a week and a half makes me want to taste life of going more than 55 for once. So those last 5 gallons were crazy starts and accelerating like a bat out of hell. I had a goal of 20 mpg, but I guess that last tidbit killed my goal. Oh well, its better than the 14-17 mpg my dad was getting when he was driving it as a DD.

Edit: I ALWAYS fill up on pump #11 at Murphy's USA by my local Wal-Mart. If all the stalls are empty and someone is in my lane, I'll wait for them to finish. It's become so common now the lady that works there every other monday (when I get paid and fill up) knows what lane I'm in and what I drive.

Umm.... any street car/truck wrecking at 120 has a high probability of killing everyone in the car.
