why is that? thats alot of power used up down the driveshaft....i guess 160 isnt bad...kinda makes me feel wimpy, but ill get over it. this will evetually become a project truck when i get another one here in about 4 years...haha

Around 155 hp pending on length of truck (drivetrain loss) and auto or manual.

yea you add a certain % of drive train loss pending on transmission, vehicle length, size of wheels and tires, current condition of rotating parts, and gears.

thats ridiculous. so when Ford says that these motors come from the line with 202 hp, thats is measure at the crank before the engine is even installed or what? thats kinda misleading....

yes there is a big loss of power dirty... (sry i already forgot your name lol)

the power has to go throw a trq converter. driveshaft (and if not greased it could lose even more power) and rear end (if the fluid in it is low it could lose more) and it has to go threw gears so it has to go threw alot of stuff befoer it actually hits the ground...

so anyware from 130 rwhp to 170 rwhp is a safe estimate i would say.

well i have a Scab with a auto tranny, and i was wondering if having an automatic if that would affect it...

yep

thats at the crank.. so no its not misleading you just have to know the difference between crank hp/tq and rwhp and rwtq

look at my dyno sheet in my signature.

that is all rwhp and rwtq...

if we add 18-20% to those numbers its like 330hp and 400tq... but i dont go around telling people i have a 300hp v6 f150 because i dont know exactly what the numbers are at the flywheel.

and besides.. everyoen wants to know what it puts out to the ground

oh also.. a mustang dyno and a dynojet will show different numbers. not sure how off or how different they are.

Yea you add more to that percentage to add to you dyno numbers.

Sorry for my typo in my other post but you add to your dyno numbers when I said subtract. Sorry

yea i checked that out earlier. but i guess im fine with making that much power, because i still love my truck, and dont plan on hating it just because that. but someone has to break the bad news to raptor about his 223 hp v6...he might fight back though...

how much did that turbo setup run you?

lol... yes the auto will make a dif... maybe not on the dyno well it might im not sure... but if a 5 speed with the same everything you have done to your truck would race he would win... well he would if he knew how to shift... he would win casue he can rev his engine a little higher if he has to to get that extra rpm that might male him win. with a auto you got one rpm it shifts at in a drag race... in a manual you choose when u want it to shift... thats y it is better

a fortune

put it this way... it would be worht it to do it again. now that i know how to do it, but not knowing how to do it and running into problems and unexpected costs would make it not worth it but like i said.. i know how to build a kit now.

but before i had no idea how to build one..

so if i knew how to build one the first tiem around i could have saved myself about 3 grand maybe even 4 grand.

id say i could do it all over again for less than 5k.
