4R70W Factory Tech Valve Body

Factory Tech,

I read in an earlier post you were coming out with a valvle body for the 4R70W around the holidays. Is this still on track? Do you have an approximate price? From everything I've read in the Lightning forums it's the real deal. I want one when they're available.

Thanks,

John

Working on it, still need some more time, but around Christmas I hope. It's gonna be around $300, the 4R70W main control I use for a core is a lot more pricey than the 4R100 Accumulator.

Thanks

Factory Tech,

Thanks for the info. I'll keep a look out on the board for it. Will you announce when it's ready? Offer still good for a test vehicle if you need it.

Valve body question?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if I have a chip installed I would have to have it reburned first to lower tranny pressure before I could install the valve body? Thanks

It's highly recommended. I had the Superchip and valve body in my 99F250LD and it cause the truck to buck or slam in the 1-2 shift during WOT. Kinda like a loud bang in the rearend. Both Greg and Mike T recommended I detune the Superchip's shifts. The FT valve body is worth every penny.

The model I'm working on right now is 99 up model year. I'm researching the compatibility with other years, I think with some provisions it may work on 94 up, but I'm not sure yet.

Factory Tech,

Keep us informed as to compatibility. Thanks for all the info. If it works for the earlier models I'd like to get one for my 97.
