Patrick,

I had the dealer do mine ..... full flush, 12 quarts Mercon V for $130 plus tax. Not cheap but I have had a few bad experiences with the "quick lubes" over the years.

Make sure a full synthetic meets Fords specs before you use it. This was an issue here some time ago. If you want Redline it's really gonna be expensive and I'm not bashing Redline, it's just a fact.

What a hoot!

Ford's private-label (non Mercon V) is a very good full-synthetic. Sounds like your dealer goes thru service managers/writers as often as my local one does.

I took mine to a place here called Grease Monkey. They did it for 59.95. They did try to dupe me though my draining some of the fluid out of the rear diff. So when I drove it under acceleration under load I got this grumble vibration. I just added more diff. oil and transfer case oil and the noise went away. So did my 6 year commitment as a customer to Grease Monkey.

Cool

I went to a quick lub joint in town here and they did mine for 39.95+tax!!!I stood there and watched the whole process. It was cool to see the machine pump clean fluid in while the dark (dirty) fluid came out the other tube.GREAT IMPROVEMENT!!! wish I had done it much sooner.

okay, I have justy recieved a quote from Jiffy lube for 89.99 including fluid..

I have another question, does Ford even know about using synthetic tranny fluid? I asked my dealership about it and they had never heard about using synthetic in the trans! they even tried to tell me they would'nt advise it! am I missing something here, or are they missing something?

also, should I use Amsoil ATF?

Patrick,

Just priced the same full flush and change (12 quarts) service at the dealer where my son bought his F150: $93.69 including tax.

So, prices do vary quite a bit. I think with the posts here you have a good idea of what it will cost you.
