Question 35-40 mph vibration

Seems to always happen under acceleration. I can feel it through the steering wheel. Anyone else noticed this? Do you think it's the tranny? Thanks

I think it is. It's common on the 4R70W transmission that's in your truck once the transmission fluid ages.

The solution is to do a complete transmission fluid change. Either drop the pan and drain the torque converter, or use one of the quick lube places that does a full change.

I just purchased a 2000 F-150 with the 5.4 and the 4R70W. I have 6K on it now and I am noticing the same problem. It occurs at around 1700 RPM. I can feel it through the gas pedal just a slight vibration. I guess I will change the tranny fluid at 10K and see if this helps. As long as it dosen't get worse I suppose I can deal with it. I just don't want them to put another tranny in because Lord only knows what they will scew up then!!

Let me know if you find anything out.......
