Hey everyone!
New to this group, I have a 2006 f150 with the 5.4 had to change out dash among other things truck runs a lot better but now it will not go into over drive just reves like it kicks into neutral. Should I try to have it reprogrammed?

 

This is probably an internal transmission failure. Read this thread:

Hello Mary, welcome to the forum. I moved your thread to Transmissions because I think you may get better ideas here.

When you say, "other things", what does that include? It's possible some of those "other things" are contributing to your difficulties. Does the transmission shift into ANY gear, such as Reverse, 3rd, 2nd, etc? When you say "Drive", to me that means 4th gear (overdrive).

I have talked to my local dealership and they seem to think it needs to be flashed so I am gonna do that and see what happens.. Thank you.
