99 4.6L v8 f150 automatic transmission

I have a 99 f150 over 200k. But well maintained. All automatic, including 4x4. I'll tell you the problems that I'm having and have had. Ok first the truck was stalling and figured out that it was the egr valve. After that was fixed I was driving home and the truck was just not wanting to go forward anymore. If I was at a stop it was like it had to gain that momentum back. Once at 45-55mph it was good again but that last stop it just wasn't wanting to go in forward at all anymore it would Rev up like it wanted to but no movement. The truck will go in reverse just fine. Matter of fact that's how I got the truck home. Once home I investigated a little and found that the truck would go forward in 4 wheel hi, just very slowly. Then I switched it to 4 wheel low and it's almost like it slammed into that gear. But it wanted to go forward almost normal. Please give me a point in the right direction on this. I've already heard enough that it's the transmission, it's the transmission. But to me is really sounding like the transfer case.

I don't understand how this could be the fuel pressure? Please explain. Let me also state that the truck didn't do all this until I want to say about 2 months after the egr valve was fixed.

Your forward clutch is wiped out. Time for a new trans.
