Would you happen to know if the 4R75E has a different torque converter then the 4R70E? I read a thread that certain models got different high and low stall converters but that was W transmissions on the older F150s.

    I have a 06 F150 4.6 that has the 4R70E and I'm swapping out for a 08 F150 4.6 that has the 4R75E.

Hey Darrin, wanted to ask ya 2 things in regards to the trans with 25mph clunk. I know its not possible to see actual problem until apart obviously so been on lookout for either a replacement trans or cheap one to throw in and rebuild current sometime down the road. But anyways, Id look into your sight but cant currently because gov computer wont let me for some reason but when I can access your page, ill check it out but for now, Ill use these as just an example. are these the 2 parts you were thinking?

Hello Darrin, I have seen a lot of great info out of you and wanted to talk to you more about my trans. Is there a number I can reach you at to talk? Or an email? Thanks a lot. Josh

    Hey Darrin,
I was doing a search about changing my tranny filter and I found an old posting from you. I noticed that we have the same last name that is even spelled the same. I don't find that too often, at least not out west. My family is from Michigan and my Dad always said that my Grandpa had family out there so who knows, we could be related. LOL. I was wondering if you could help me. I want to change my tranny filter and replace the fluid without going to the dealer. Is it just a matter of dropping the pan, drain it, replace the filter and put the pan back on? If it is, what torque do I set the bolts to? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

hey man what do you know about m5od transmission? we just picked up an 88 bronco for $600 and the wife, God bless her little heart *sigh* tried to old grind and find method and well, she ground it down alright... should i repair or replace everything? or is there another trans i can replace it with? this is a budget bronco, so if you tell me that i can make it work with duct tape and wd40, that's what it will get btw, thanks so much on helping me out with my trans on my truck. you probably saved a few lives... thanks man.

    To everyone,

I don't get notifications that these messages are being posted and I can't seem to get that straightened out for whatever reason.

Please email me at [email protected] if you need to get ahold of me.

    Thanks much!

    Hey Darrin,
good to see another Indy guy. Can you be of any help on this... I have a 2000 F150 5.4 4x4. Well towards the end of winter I was pulling a 2500 out of a ditch (good family friends) and in the process lost all forward gears. Since the truck has 150+k miles and I drive an hour each direction to work I went ahead and got a car for gas. Well I'm looking to get this truck back up and running. I'd prefer to do it pretty cheap. I know a guy that has a mustang trans (4r70w) for really cheap but not sure if it will work. Any help?
