Sync update

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just updated my sync to the newest generation and it now works great. No more dropped calls and Bluetooth disconnecting.
Good going Ford !

I just purchased a new F150, have about 3 miles on it. I have already had to pull the battery cable twice to do a reset on the Sync system, and I haven't even connected a phone yet.

2013 FX4 full load. - Touchscreen.

In order to update download the update file from syncmyride.com and follow instructions by putting it on a usb stick. Once you start your truck put the usb stick in and it starts by itself.

Hope this helps!

Hey everyone,

I'm Kim! I'll be filling in for Jaclyn while she's out of the office. The best way to check if an update is available for your specific vehicle is to create an account at: www.Support.Ford.com and add your VIN. Click UPDATE SYNC SOFTWARE on the right side of the page. The website will let you know if you're already running the recommended software for your vehicle or if an update is available. If an update is recommended, the website will let you know if it can be downloaded from home or if a dealership visit is required.

Let me know if you have any questions .

Kim

My 2011 F150 with Sync and voice activated navigation is version 3.2. Is there going to be another update soon? I am having bluetooth disconnects just about every time I drive. Also would like the expanded features in the 3.6 version, specifically related to the iPhone.

I can't speculate on timing for updates, ChipB727. However, I'd like to recommend an alternative pairing process called reverse pairing; it allows for certain phones to hold a better connection:

http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...air-phone-sync

You will need to delete your phone from the system, and SYNC from your phone before attempting this.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Jaclyn
