Why doesn't anyone ever recommend Bilstein shocks?

I was just wondering why nobody ever recomends Bilsteins. I had them on my last 2 trucks and loved em. Has anybody ever had a problem with them?

Oh well, off to work

Thumbs up

I have them on my truck for the last 37,500 miles, no problems at all.

I think that is has been the best mod.

I've had several sets of Bilstein over the years and have always really liked them. I just have a hard time paying what they want for them now. Rich

Talking

I had them on a 96 bronco and the ride was very ruff. I have a 00 expy with a 4'' lift with the rancho 9000.The bilstiens were good on the bronco for cornering but the straight driving was very harsh. I was thinking of trying them on the expy because it is a different suspension coils instead of leafs but I hope they would not be to ruff. Than theres the new 9000x to tuff to choose.

I put a set on about 8,000 miles ago and like them. Handling is a lot better over the oem hd that came with the tow package, but ride is slightly stiffer. Worth it for me.

My FX came with Ranchos, but when I change them I will get Bilsteins. I had them on my previous suv and loved them.

I think the main reasons are that they make your ride even firmer, aaaargh and really soften your wallet, also aaaargh.
