Drifting is back
I really wish you were closer, I bet a short test drive and toss it up on a rack and I'd have it fixed. Its so damn hard chasing issues over the internet with second hand information.
Ask Stealth how long it took me to find his clunk issue after a short test drive

I wish you were I'm getting really annoyed.
Any more advice or input? I really want to get this fixed myself. I'm thinking of trying to get a video so you guys can hear it. I would love to try the tie rods, but I just don't have the tools for the inners. I can't get the rack bolts to move. What has me nervous is the fact that it started ever so slightly after the alignment. Maybe a few weeks. Then it got looser and then louder and louder and more frequent. That tells me something is loosening.
I had the same annoying noise in our taco. It ended up being bad mounting bushings on the rack. I was pissed that brand new stuff would do that. I ended up installing energy suspension bushings.. problem solved. Check for inner tire wear, that will be the dead giveaway.
Got to my appointment at the shop at 8 this morning. Threw it up on their new alignment rack and it was off. I started suspecting the LCA moved and he said I was right. They realigned it and took some money off since it was their mistake. They torqued to spec and it is back to before. There is still a slight clunk over bumps though, I don't get it. Much much better though with the past two visits though and this will tie me over. When I lower the truck further later this year, I'll dig into more detail since I'll be switching to a lowering spindle.
Feels like it's getting loose again. FML. I am really at a loss. Whatever NTB did they really screwed up my front end. Still clunks and beginning to wander again. It was good after the alignment, but it's getting squirrelly again on the highway. I'm starting to think their carelessness of not tightening the control arms actually damaged stuff. If that ends out being the case, Im gonna try to go after them for money to fix this. This is beyond unfair. I have A NEW FREAKING TRUCK suspension wise and it drives like crap now. It drove amazing after we did the work in August. I enjoyed it for a week until they go a hold of it. I really don't know what to do now. I'm so upset. I've dealt with this from August to now. Unfreakin real.
Thinking out loud, but could it be control arm bushings and maybe the rack bushings like 01gt said? I'm gonna wait it out but when I have it checked I hope they find the issue.
