Drifting is back
Thanks Arnaldo, I sure hope so!
Another symptom. As I drive on a road with a turn (especially the passenger side) when there is a bump - even if I slow down- there is a loud clunk. It is very audible and felt in the steering wheel. I can also jerk the wheel back and worth when driving slowly and with enough force the truck clunks pretty loudly on both sides. There is a turn that dips slightly (maybe 30-35 mph along here) and when the road dips towards the passenger side, that side clunks and when the road immediately tilts to the drivers side, that side clunks. It's a pretty loud clunking and over a washboard type surface, the steering wheel jerks around and the clunking is constant.

F man this thread has had so many ups and downs. Can't believe you're still dealing with this. I can't imagine how all this has effected your tires.
I wish I was up there, No joke!

I was thinking about that Pat. It might have to come down to having a shop pull it all apart and inspect the parts.
I have never seen anything like this in my life. It's so stressful
So I took the truck for a small ride after work since it's pretty warm and I could have windows down and not freeze to death
If I hit the brakes, the truck clunks when I stop and lightly release. I THINK I can feel something in the steering wheel when this happens and it would make sense since I can feel the clunks coming through the wheel when each side clunks over bumps. Does that help? I have read that would be a sign of LCA bushings.

And I want to add this. My sway bar bushings have about 20k on them. They were installed in August 2012. There is a rusty red substance coming out of them where they meet the bar. I do have a spare set. I watched a few videos and it sounds like those however it doesn't explain the sensations in the steering wheel. If I this will help ill give the timeline of noises as well. Truck was perfect beginning of August 2013 once last bj was changed and brakes again. Installed camber kit myself. Brought to ntb it was OK are first. Realized they didn't tighten it when I hit a bridge in the highway. I torqued them down and then squeaking. They said it was coming from the shock. Kept fighting with ntb. New shop fixes alignment dns squeaking is gone but there's a clunk. The squeaking sounded like a creaking noise Ans occurred when the passenger side was compressed. The clunk is felt in the wheel and is audible. I was on the highway the other day and didn't turn the wheel and the truck curves with the road. I think I'm gonna have an ulcer. I can't take thus much longer.
How many miles are on the truck at this point?
How rough are the roads you drive on average?
You did OEM style rotors right? Maybe one of the bearings is going bad.
clunking only once when braking could also be loose caliper/bracket.
sorry if im being redundant. Im trying to think out loud.....

Shocks have nothing to do with caster on your truck. Caster would be in the LCA bolts. Camber and caster is adjusted there.
as for the bushings. If the are bad the edges of the control arm will rub the cradle at full swing. Thats where the clunk comes from. Metal on metal. I'll see if I can if I can get a picture to help you visualize what im talking about

I know that but they didn't tighten the lca so it was all out of wack. The shock was twisted as a result. When the alignment was corrected the squeaking stopped but now there's clunking Ans loose steering. Before ntb touched my truck all I needed was the camber kit. It rode awesome.
George while I agree, it's too far of a drive. I can't be without my truck like that. There's a pretty nice shop a town over from me I might try. All state of the art equipment and building from the looks of it.
Pat they didn't say that, I am. If the shock mounts to the lca and the top is bolted in, doesn't it move with the lca in and out a few degrees. I may stop in to to the shop close to me to see what they say. I need this resolved and I failed inspection due to my exhaust needing to get done. Everything likes to happen at once. I'm gonna be pissed if any of my new parts ate damaged.
